Event Description

This training on OSHA regulations will explain you the requirements of the new hazard communication standards. It will also provide you tools and tips for implementing the updated regulation in your organization’s facilities.

Why Should You Attend:

OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard has been in effect since 1986, with very few changes. Now OSHA has updated the Standard to make it compatible with the UN’s International Standard, as well as those practices in the European Union. The changes are being phased in over the next three years, but the first wave of change takes effect in December, 2013. The new standard can be complex and confusing unless you understand what these changes are and how they affect you and your business. Also of importance are the implementation dates, as OSHA will be checking for compliance.

This webinar will explain the requirements of the new Hazard Communication Standard and how the new requirements will be implemented. Attendees will be able to explore the requirements of the updated regulation and determine how to best apply it in their business.

Areas Covered in the Webinar:

  • Changes in the Hazard Communication Standard
  • The requirement for Global Harmonization
  • Changes in the Safety Data Sheet
  • How chemicals are classified
  • Training requirements for the new standard
  • Implementation dates

Who Will Benefit:

  • Chemical Users
