Event Description

Overview:

There are many forms of ethical behavior, and it is good to know what they are when performing the required tasks of the EHS function.

This session discusses those forms, plus outlines situations in which ethics play an important part of decision making, both from a professional and a personal perspective.

Why should you Attend:

The question of professional ethics is a constant element of the EHS practitioner's world. The function of safety, health or environment all have grey areas that need to be transformed into black or white, and the only way to do that is to operate from a value system based on ethical principles.

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • A definition of what an ethic is
  • Where ethics come from
  • How we obtain the ethic thought process
  • Sharing stories and examples of situations where ethics was an issue

Who Will Benefit:

  • All levels of EHS practitioners
  • Environmental Engineers
  • Health and Safety Professionals

Speaker Profile:

James Thatcher the owner and President of Global Safety Solutions, LLC, headquartered in Divide, Colorado. Dr. Thatcher has 35 years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Metals/Minerals and Chemical industry, with management positions in engineering, operations, human resources, safety, health and environment, as well as training and security.
