SUMMARY:Advanced Technology Applications for Combat Casualty Care (ATA
 CCC) 2010
DESCRIPTION:Welcome\n\nYou are invited to attend the ATACCC 2009 Confe
rence,16 - 19 August 2010, at the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort, St.
Pete Beach, Florida.\n\nThe ATACCC is the Department of Defenses’ (D
OD) premier scientific meeting that focuses on the battlefield medical
needs of our Nation’s warfighters and on recent advances in trauma
surgery and medicine. Previous ATACCC meetings have proven successful
in providing the broadest possible view of combat casualty care as it
is applied in the operational environment. The conference generates in
tense discussion, focused meetings, and informative presentations to h
elp identify strategies and set goals and milestones for the DOD's com
bat casualty care research programs.\n\nThe 2010 meeting is co-sponsor
ed by the US Army and Navy Combat Casualty Care Research Programs and
by the Air Force Surgeon General's Office. It will focus on battlefiel
d medical care issues that have arisen during combat operations in sup
port of Operation Iraqi Freedom and on the technologies available toda
y and perhaps in the future to meet the increasingly complex medical n
eeds of combat casualties. Special emphasis will be placed on ensuring
that DOD's combat casualty care research programs are aligned to best
fulfill the needs of DOD's combat casualty care mission. In addition,
many of the DOD's combat casualty care scientists will present their
latest research results in multiple scientific presentations and poste
rs.\n\nThe goal of the ATACCC is to provide a forum where scientists a
nd developers have an opportunity to interact with representatives of
the war-fighting community to develop a new understanding, ideas, and
concepts that can best benefit the battlefield casualty and improve su
rvival and well-being.\n\nThe Commanding General\nUS Army Medical Rese
arch and Materiel Command\n\nFor more information visit https://medtec
