 erience with issues including food safety, labeling, GRAS self-affirma
 tions and notifications. He assists clients with novel food additive p
 etitions, product claims in labeling, advertising, and other promotion
 al material, as well as clinical research and substantiation issues, a
 nd regulatory strategies for new product development. Mr. Pavel is the
  past Chair of the Institute of Food Technologists Food Laws and Regul
