Event Description

At RSNA's 94th annual meeting, the radiology community will come together to witness the latest advances in imaging research and technology.

With countless resources available in this age of global communication, there is no limit to the methods available to you to maintain and enhance your professional development. RSNA offers the highest quality and most recent developments in scientific research and education from the worldwide radiologic community.

New this year are half-day series courses in breast, chest, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal/emergency radiology; self-assessment modules (SAMs) in a variety of subspecialty areas; and categorical courses in cardiac imaging and CT and MR physics. New applied scientific presentations feature advances that are helping to shape the future of radiologic science.

New initiatives to ensure quality patient care stress the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, of which imaging is a critical component. The Bolstering Oncoradiologic and Oncoradiotherapeutic Skills for Tomorrow (BOOST) program returns this year with concentrated courses throughout the week in the following subspecialty areas: head and neck, lung and central nervous system, gastrointestinal and prostate, and gynecology.

Cardiac CT Mentored Case Review assists attendees in satisfying one of the recommendations of the American College of Radiology practice guidelines for the performance and interpretation of cardiac CT. The Quality Improvement Symposium offers guidance in developing working models for quality, with a daylong series of sessions covering process improvement, customer satisfaction, patient safety, and professional assessment.

Technology enables us to connect with one another and access and share information in innovative ways. Demonstrations by the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE®) program introduce attendees to tools that move us closer to universally connected radiology.

This year, the RSNA technical exhibition will span three halls and feature expanded dining and seating options in each hall, helping to reduce the time spent navigating the meeting and giving you more time for, and quicker access to, the educational activities you want to attend.

After the meeting, you can continue to access courses and presentations online, viewing images and exhibits and participating in discussions as an extension of RSNA 2008. In addition, myRSNA, the new personalized member portal on RSNA.org, allows users to save their favorite program links to My Bookmarks, thus creating a personal file available for easy access and ongoing use.

RSNA's selection of courses, scientific papers, scientific posters, and education exhibits continues to deliver an unprecedented learning experience in virtually every subspecialty. Full participation in the meeting can earn each physician up to 87.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
