SUMMARY:USMCA Rules, Procedures and Documentation
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will help attendees understand how to meet th
e rules that are required to qualify their imports/exports between the
three USMCA countries (United States, Canada, and Mexico). In additio
n, this webinar will present some of the major changes between the NAF
TA & the USMCA and how these changes may affect the qualification of y
our products. Some of these changes may impact your company and requir
e advance preparation to meet compliance requirements.\nWhy Should You
Attend:\nUnderstand how to meet the rules that are required to qualif
y your imports/exports between the three USMCA countries (United State
s, Canada, and Mexico). Goods that may have qualified under the NAFTA
may not qualify under the USMCA or vice versa.\nIt will also assist th
e producer, importer, or exporter in properly completing the new Certi
fication of Origin for qualified goods in order to receive duty-free t
reatment. It will help you in preventing errors that could result in s
evere civil and/or criminal penalties imposed by each country's Custom
s administration and preparing for a USMCA audit.\nThe United States/M
exico/Canada Agreement (USMCA) aka as CUSMA in Canada and T-MEC in Mex
ico replaced the NAFTA on July 1, 2020. The USMCA provides for the pre
ferential treatment or entry of goods duty-free into each of the count
ries provided that the goods meet the strict rules of origin in the ag
reement and regulations. Certification of Origin is required for most
goods that can qualify under the rules and must be completed by the pr
oducer, exporter, or importer of the goods. Failure to know the rules
and properly complete the Certification of Origin and maintain proper
documentation can result in severe penalties.\n\nWho Will Benefit:\n\n
 Importers, Exporters, and Manufacturers/Suppliers\nPurchasing Personne
 l\nAccounting Personnel\nShipping/Receiving Personnel\nFreight Forward
