Event Description

Overview:
The regulatory process can be mired in opposition derived from NIMBY’s, environmentalists, competitors and a variety of other reasons. You typically have to generate support from within the community in order to counter opponents to your specific development, this can cost time and resources and unless you understand the political nuances, being successful is a difficult task.

Depending on the size of your company, you can already have that political force at your fingertips. This force can be unleashed at opportune moments to influence their elected officials in order to get your local, statewide and sometimes federal legislative agenda passed through their constituent voices. Your employees are residents and voters, they have family and friends who can be part of that political force.

We provide training that will teach your employees how to organize your resources into effective influential political voice. We provide in house trainings that will teach the basics of grassroots organizing, how to organize up your divisions, create political communication trees, how to communicate with their elected officials and advocate for the benefit of the company.

Why should you Attend:

Any time you must go before a governmental board for permits or approvals, it is a political process. Whether it is on the local, state and federal level, you will likely have community opposition to your application.

In order to succeed, you must convince the decision makers that they will not pay a political price for supporting your application and the only way to convince them of that is through numbers. You need to demonstrate that you can counter the vocal opposition with vocal supporters

Areas Covered in the Session:

How to generate political support for your regulatory needs.
