Event Description

Overview:

Come celebrate the union of the PFMEA and the CP! See how the Dynamic Control Plan (DCP) combines both tools into ONE enabling the savings of hundreds of hours of Engineering time, reducing the risk of documentation errors, and, actually improving QMS effectiveness while reducing repetitious work. This session will show you how you can benefit from the DCP!

Why should you Attend:
The Dynamic Control Plan (DCP) purely eliminates the stand-alone Control Plan as part of the Advanced Planning and Quality (APQP) Documentation process by combining the Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plan (CP) into one handy format.

By essentially "bolting on" a few columns to the PFMEA, the CP is now powerfully enabled to effectively prevent and/or detect the failure modes that it is originally designed to manage. It forces the "completion of a linear thought" as practitioners manage every line item of the PFMEA and strongly improves the efficacy of this risk-analysis process. This little-used but Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) approved format reduces hundreds of hours of engineering/quality time in document preparation and largely mitigates disconnects in the 8D Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CA/PA) analysis process.

A live sample will be demonstrated step by step across the process. This engaging session will leave people motivated and with a plan of how to simultaneously reduce complexity while improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of their quality management system.

This session enables participants to learn how to develop, create, execute and interpret an Attribute Agreement Analysis (AAA) so that an accurate and repeatable disposition can be made and rework and returns can be effectively reduced. An AAA is an "MSA for attributes." Auditing professionals need to understand the effectiveness of these methods when used by their clientele and/or in their own organization. Attendees will see how they can apply this tool while learning how to mitigate business cost exposure.

Areas Covered in the Session:
  • To help practitioners understand how the DCP can be positively leveraged to Reduce business complexity
  • Increase effectively of both tools and better predict risk.
  • Mitigate system cross-referencing errors.

Who Will Benefit:
  • Quality
  • Engineering
  • Lean and Audit system practitioners
  • Auditors, Engineers, Analysts, Managers, Directors
