MedTech I.Q.

The Cutting Edge of Medical Technology Content, Community & Collaboration

Colleagues,

You may recall in May 2009 that MedTech-IQ members, Dan Lougue and John Colwell, with support from Adam Suri, organized the exceptional Credit Crisis Rx Workshop in Baltimore, Maryland. The series, now available online at: http://www.cfi-institute.org/Training/index.html#session1, covered 3 topics;

1) “How to Compete for Scarce Bank Credit”,

2) “What to Do When Your Bank Says No”, and

3) "Bridging the Gap When Debt Financing Isn’t Enough”.

The series, which is now available for a limited time to MedTech-IQ members for free, describes how today's small-to-medium sized businesses need actionable insight into current capital market conditions, and how to take advantage of available funding options.

In Session 1, top executives from leading corporate and commercial banks discuss real-time developments in bank credit markets and provide insider tips on bank credit strategies.

In Session 2, senior lenders from leading non-bank financial (e.g., asset-based lending, commercial finance, leasing) institutions and the Small Business Administration discuss alternative sources of debt financing, how they can be used effectively to finance working capital, capital investments and mergers & acquisitions; and prevailing terms and conditions (e.g., collateral, pricing, maturities).

In Session 3, subordinated debt and preferred stock investors tell owners/CEOs how to use long term, junior capital to achieve their corporate growth and shareholder liquidity objectives.

These are very high quality, interactive exchanges between senior bank lenders, investors and CEO/Senior Executives. I think you will find them exceptionally valuable. I did as an attendee to these talks. For anyone interested in the real world of working capital, business investment and bank lending, I highly recommend you take advantage of this limited time only, free opportunity!
