SRI International gets nearly $1M to improve X-ray system

As reported in San Francisco Business Times ... The National Cancer Institute has given SRI International nearly $1 million to improve X-ray imagine used to look at tumors.
The cancer institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, gave Menlo Park-based SRI two grants that add up to $946,089 for the work. SRI will develop a new type of source tube for X-ray imaging. Such tubes haven’t changed for several decades ... New technology will make taking images faster and cheaper...
