MedTech-IQ Reminder: U.S. Army Request For Informtion (RFI) ... Advanced Health Information Technologies ... Deadline: 28 February 2010

A message to all members of MedTech-IQ

Colleagues,

See below the third transmission of the RFI (Request For Information) from the U.S. Army seeking information on potential advanced health information technology that MedTech-IQ member Robert Connors first brought to our attention 31 January 2010.  I have attached the RFI below for your convenience.  Generally, an RFI will proceed a Funding Opportunity Announcement in the form of a RFP (Request For proposals).  My sources indicate that the funding line to back the RFP may be significant.  This RFI is an interesting document.  It provides a detailed description of where and how the federal sector foresees health information technology evolving in the immediate future.  Key areas of interest include:

1.

Acquisition-Access

2.

Analysis-Execution

3.

Interoperability-Standards

4.

Distribution-Portability

5.

Representation-Visualization

6.

Archive-Retrieval

7.

Systems Engineering/Program Support

ENJOY!
