Arizona Telemedicine Program Awarded New $1.13 million Resource Center

As reported in iHealthBeat ...The Department of Health and Human Services, Office for the Advancement of Telehealth has awarded a $1.13 million grant to help the Arizona Telemedicine Program launch a regional resource center. The center, led by MedTech-IQ member Dr Ron Weinstein (See video of Dr Weinstein, https://medtechiq.ning.com/video/2140535:Video:962) will offer logistical and technical support for various telehealth issues.

The resource center aims to help health care providers and other telemedicine users with:

* Business plan development;
* Clinical application needs assessments;
* Electronic health record selection, implementation and management;
* Facility design;
* Grant writing;
* Legal, regulatory and reimbursement issues; and
* Technical EHR concerns.

The project will promote telemedicine in:

* Arizona;
* Colorado;
* Nevada;
* New Mexico; and
* Utah.
