As reported in KurzweilAI.Net and PhysOrg.Com...Using 3-D ultrasound technology, Duke University engineers have developed a prototype device that allows a computer to assemble both streams of ultrasound images into a three-dimensional color movie of the vessels and blood flow within the brain in 15 to 30 minutes, vs. an average of four hours for a potential stroke patient to receive a CT scan.
