MedTech I.Q.

The Cutting Edge of Medical Technology Content, Community & Collaboration

Lately, I've had to do a ton of research on medical insurance and dental plans as the budget year nears an end and the next one begins. This is the first time I've really had to give much thought to this as I've been on my parents plans for most of my life and then really didn't pay much attention early on during my working career. To be honest, I was pretty much completely clueless on much of the process (not to mention terms used!). Now that I'll be getting married in the next year, I really had to weigh out and research which plan would be best and I'm not sure how I would have pulled it off without all the help I got from social media out there. Some well worded google searches and some perusing of the right sites turned out all kinds of helpful information to help us make decisions that were not just based on info we received from companies but were also based on real experiences of other people. I'm extremely grateful for the way social media has developed.

I think we often forget just how much useful information is out there and how many different angles of information we can get on topics that we have questions about. This same principle applies to our businesses and work places as well. I'm positive that there are ways that we can use social media to tweak how we do business and how we see our businesses. Make sure to google your company on occasion and see whats out there.
