Subject: Recommendations Sent to Obama Healthcare Team
Dear Conrad,
President Obama and Secretary of Health and Human Services Nominee Tom Daschle asked Americans – and we delivered – to give feedback and recommendations on ways to improve quality and expand access to care.
Per my earlier email, in late 2008, I hosted an online discussion and invited you and other healthcare opinion leaders to contribute. The discussion addressed such issues as the need for greater access to preventive health services, ways to promote healthier lifestyles and the employer’s role in a reformed healthcare system.
This online exchange generated robust discussion and formed the basis of our report back to the Obama Transition Team, which I have attached.
The Center for Connected Health will continue to weigh in on important healthcare policy issues, and will solicit participation from healthcare leaders and stakeholders such as you. We look forward to additional dialogue and debate regarding healthcare reform and the role connected health, population management and participatory medicine can play in transforming healthcare delivery.
Thanks for your interest.
