MedTech-IQ Member, Dr Luis Kun, Organizes National Academies Meeting..."Health-Care Reform, or Transformation?"

On June 1-2, 2009, Dr Luis Kun, an early member of MedTech-IQ, is Co-Organizing at the National Academies of Science in Washington, D.C., the first scientific community interoperability summit ... Health-Care Reform, or Transformation? "Establishing the Infrastructure for Health Assurance & Disease Prevention".
This event, which is by invitation only, is co-sponsored by American Institute for Medical & Biological Engineering (AIMBE) and will produce a report with specific actionable recommendations on healthcare transformation thru multidisciplinary, multi-organizational information interoperability.
The meeting will convene US Agencies and Departments who own health related information but are not part of the delivery system including the EPA, USDA, Commerce, NOAA, NASA, State, DHS, NSF, etc., with the NIH, CDC, AHRQ, FDA, HRSA, Indian Health Service, DOD, VA, etc.. In addition the meeting will also convene professional societies that have science, technology, and/or engineering expertise. The Summit has a distinguished international organizing committee.
