Microsoft Partners in Genetic Research

Interesting article describing new Scripps Health Service research project, involving 'genetic scanning' of 10,000 volunteers with 20 year follow-up. Partners include Microsoft, Affymetrix, and Navigenics. In addition to ethical & privacy concerns, there is still much debate on clinical value of 'genomic readings'. Another article addresses similar issues. This saga is very much in its infancy!
