Event Description

The 6th Innovations in the Surgical Environment Conference is an excursion into the transformation of the surgical environment as addressed by a collaboration of clinicians, scientists, hospital administrators, government, military, and healthcare industry leaders.

The ISE Conference is a day and a half dialogue with stakeholders who are working to make the patient's and surgeon's operative experience a safer one. Topics covered will include:

SAFETY & SURGERY • Perspectives from the Stakeholders: Academia, Government, Healthcare, Industry, Military

INFORMATICS • Analytics, Workflow Process, and Communications in the Perioperative Space

SMART IMAGE • Creating the Next Generation of Image-Guided Surgery

ERGONOMICS • Human Factors Effects on the Surgical Team

SIMULATION • Cognitive and Technical Training for the Surgical Team

Improved Patient Safety at the Front Lines will be the subject of the ISE Special Event - Live Videoconferences with military personnel in Afghanistan and Iraq
