The Defense Health Board will convene its first meeting in calendar year 2010, March 1 and 2, 2010...

... The sessions on 1 March will be open to the public.  March 2 will entail visits by Board members to installation activities in the vicinity of Cocoa Beach, Florida...

..The March meeting will include briefings on: National Capital Region Base Realignment and Closure, Department of Defense Task Force on the Prevention of Suicide by Members of the Armed Forces, Military/Occupational Health and Medical Surveillance, and Psychological Health External Advisory Subcommittee. Additionally, the Board will receive briefs regarding electronic medical records for military medicine and the status of the new Joint Pathology Center.

The Defense Health Board is a Federal Advisory Committee to the Secretary of Defense.  It provides independent scientific advice/recommendations on matters relating to operational programs, health policy development, health research programs, and requirements for the treatment and prevention of disease and injury, promotion of health and the delivery of health care to DoD beneficiaries...
