Colleagues,
We have collectively been invited to participate in the
Cringely (NOT in Silicon Valley) Startup Tour & Reality TV Show. Robert Cringley, a respected commentator for PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) on start-up companies, and the Ewing Marion Kaufmann Foundation for Entrepreneurship, are sponsoring a Web 2.0 crowd intelligence contest that will choose 24 start-up companies to feature in a 12 hour reality TV show to air this summer on a major cable channel ...
Cringley estimates that ... "The very act of being considered and discussed by 500,000 readers will
give these companies more publicity than most of them would otherwise
ever get"...
I have checked the Cringley site, and was pleased to see that at least one MedTech-IQ connected company has already been nominated. Selection will involve a film crew at your site for 2 days. Cringley is also seeking subject matter experts to help in the selection process, and possible on-air roles.
Please see link below from MedTech-IQ member, Dean Calcagni. Thank you
Dean ...
ENJOY!

CC,
I have been a fan of Robert X. Cringely for
many years. He is well-respected and very entertaining.
He produced the
PBS documentaries, Triumph of the Nerds: The Rise of Accidental Empires and Nerds 2.0.1: A Brief History of the Internet.
Until 2008 he wrote an online information
technology column for the PBS website.
His latest venture involves
beating the bushes to find the best new start-up companies in several fields, including biotechnology. He is making this an interactive process and invites anyone to participate.
I think much of the MedTech-IQ community would be
interested in this project.
You can find out more about it at his column
titled, The Smell of Entrepreneurism in the Morning, at:
