As reported in eHealth SmartBrief & HealthImaging.Com...The ICT for Health division of the European Commission has released a report that provides guidelines for the research and deployment of electronic health records that are interoperable in Europe. The SemanticHEALTH report recommends the use of specific technologies, including decision-support tools and cross-language search engines. The report also calls for the creation of national bodies that can facilitate coordination between European networks.
