As reported in eHealth SmartBrief & Healthcare IT News...The Army has acquired a speech-recognition product called Dragon Medical from Nuance, a firm based in Burlington, Mass. The move is part of the MEDCOM AHLTA Provider Satisfaction program, which is aimed at improving the military's computerized health record system. Robert Bell Walker, an AHLTA consultant and family-practice doctor for the military, said using Nuance's software will help Army clinicians avoid errors due to lapses in memory and add more details in patient records...
