Highlights, Tuesday, 18 May 2010

Morning keynote plenary was John Howe, III, MD, President and CEO of Project HOPE, discussed how his organization coordinates government agencies, non-governmental
organizations and corporations to provide healthcare services in remote areas and disaster
zones from programs in 35 countries on 5 continents.

Kenneth Bird Distinguished Lecture Plenary

At noon the Kenneth Bird Distinguished Lecture, was delivered by Aneesh Chopra, Federal Chief Technology Officer of the United States. Chopra discussed White House policies promoting telemedicine and advanced remote medical technologies.
