As reported in the San Francisco Business Times ... A multimillion-dollar statewide telehealth center designed to boost services to patients in remote and underserved areas will open in Sacramento next month.

Sandra Shewry, former director of the California Department of Health Care Services, will become president and chief executive officer of the California Center for Connected Health on Jan. 1.

Dr. Thomas Nesbitt, executive associate dean for clinical and administrative affairs at UC Davis and founding director of the university’s telehealth center in Sacramento, has been named part-time executive director of telehealth services.
