- Area of Expertise or Interest?
- By training, I am a cardiovascular physiologist and physiological ecologist. Much of my research expertise is in hemorrhage shock and trauma, but much of it is also with vascular/blood cells. After a long career in the lab, I directed the Combat Casualty Care Research Program for the U.S. Army, where I was a technology developer (many different technologies) and funder. I now run a company with the unique capability to desiccate (not freeze-dry) various biologics, store them at ambient temperature, and upon rehydration, return biologic function.
