Job opportunity for PhD, MD or equivalent with extensive skill with longitudinal health datasets, preferably in the DoD or VA system. Washington DC area.
A colleague's company is looking to hire a full-time manager to work at the VA. Ideally, they would like a someone with health related experience in the DoD and/or the VHA. The VA wants someone with extensive skills in longitudinal health databases, SAS, experience with DoD health related databases and project management. Perhaps a PhD level person or a clinician with the qualifications would fit the bill. The basic work is to create a surveillance system (several registries) for Blast Injury, Polytrauma, Womens Health, PTSD, and Infectious disease and provide analysis, studies, and consultation from the data collected. The PM will work out of the VA offices in DC.
