The Cutting Edge of Medical Technology Content, Community & Collaboration
For those in the field of exploration, there is a need to zero in on an effective and affordable methodology that identifies prospective targets which are related to, or controlled by tectonic structures. This methodology should help explorers concentrate their exploration efforts over new areas keeping their budget in control, armed even with limited or nonexistent geological information.
The ways of achieving this will be the learning a webinar from Compliance4All, a leading provider of professional trainings for all the areas of regulatory compliance, will be imparting. Ricardo Valls, a professional geologist with thirty years in the mining industry, who has extensive geological, geochemical, and mining experience, managerial skills, research techniques, and training, will be the speaker at this webinar. All that is needed to register for this meaningful learning session is to log on to http://www.compliance4all.com/control/w_product/~product_id=501017
Tectonic structures
The basis to the methodology that Richard will teach participants is the well-documented fact that most ore deposits are directly related to or controlled by tectonic structures within different geological environments. After identifying the main tectonic structures and lineaments on the basis of sat-photos, aero-photos, infrared, radarsat, landsat, geophysical and/or geochemical fields, DEM or topographic maps; the number of these structures and their intersections are digitized using an appropriated grid and combined with the available geological, geochemical, or geophysical information. This data is then processed to determine the Range Correlation Coefficient (R.C.C™) that best characterizes the mineralized zone.
On the basis of the determined R.C.C, a new “integrated” map is created showing the location of all the prospective zones. This webinar will help participants carry out this exercise. At the end of the session, participants will receive a full report, maps describing the location of these potential targets, and suggestions on the best ways of verifying their mineral potential.
Richard will cover the following areas at this webinar:
o History of the problem
o Lineament analysis
o Satellite interpretation
o 3D strain analysis
o 3D stress analysis
o Correlation analysis (RCC)
o Other statistical procedures
o Conclusions and recommendations.
