It was bound to happen. The dominant position of Google's search engine is now being challenged in the courts, not simply in the marketplace. The allegation is anything but frivolous; SourceTool.com claims that Google has engaged in anti-competitive activities, illegal under the Sherman Antitrust Act. TradeComet.com (parent company to SourceTool) is being represented by Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, which also represents Microsoft in its antitrust dealings. A partner with the firm told The New York Times that Microsoft has “no involvement” in the suit against Google. Can anyone spell "suspicious", "ironic", or both?
