Campaign Manager Needed
Entry Level Interns / Grads
Diligent campaign manager needed in the DC area through November 2010. Recruit and supervise volunteers, execute campaign plan, coordinate fundraisers and events, keep campaign on budget, implement voter contact strategies and manage daily schedule.
Must be willing to run a successful election from start to finish.
This unique and historic campaign is expected to pit a new and progressive candidate, against oratorical and politically entrenched incumbents whom public approval have surged in recent times. The campaign manager's duties: developing and executing a campaign plan, fundraising, organizing/recruiting and managing volunteers, coordinating the mail program, representing the campaign at events, implement voter contact strategies, managing daily schedule, organizing voter contact events, and other administrative tasks. Previous organizing experience, or experience as a candidate, campaign manager, or campaign worker is strongly recommended, but not required. Experience designing and conducting fundraisers and some familiarity with campaign regulations is preferred.
Applicants will be resourceful, capable of working without close supervision, and have good networking skills. The candidate must like working with people and be able to maintain friendly and co-operative relationships with party members and the public as well as being capable of mobilizing grassroots advocacy. Salary is contingent upon fundraising results.
