The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has announced that applications for a total of $1.5 billion in grants funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act are now available. The grants will fund scientific research, construction and improvement of research facilities, and the purchase of scientific equipment.

U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Sets Up Office to Manage Stimulus Funds

As reported in Health IT News ... The Department of Health and Human Services announced Wednesday the creation of the Office of Recovery Act Coordination to help ensure the timely, organized and transparent distribution of economic stimulus funds managed by HHS.

Billions in U.S. stimulus money seen for technology
