I have met couple of people who has been in Biomedical and telecom industry for more than 10 yrs and they also been involved in doing business development for telemedicine.
Hi Ramesh,
My company is in its infancy. What I have available to me is the following:
Access to the technology that is presently available to provide real time care via telecommunication technology, I have access to (American) physicians in multiple specialty's (although utilizing Indian physicians would be significantly more cost effective). I have and can establish additional clinical protocols for caring for patients in the rural and under served areas. I have contacts with multiple potential investors. I have a contact in Ethiopia and possibly Japan.
I have access to the University of Michigan's faculty and support (many of which are Indians and committed to improving conditions in India).
I am personally committed to devise ways to provide quality health care in cost effective and efficient manner to individuals that access does not exist or is cost prohibitive.
We should talk next week. There is tremendous opportunity ....
I would like to learn your motivation for establishing this business-- IE ROI, non profit socially responsible efforts, combination of both, expanding these services across the globe, etc.
let me some dates and times to contact you --if you want to pursue this further.
These are both very troubled times as well as very exciting with tremendous opportunity.
Be well-- I look forward to speaking with you.

Hi Mark,
Yes, I agree with your suggestion. but we can establish relationship with government and even rural areas. Just we need is a dedication to build a good company and this telemedicine is different than other business. With me my fiance is also getting knoweldge about telemedicine and doing survey for telemedicine market in india. And the comapnies who are there in india just provides Video conferencing. no product based service .i.e. monitoring equipments. My friend who is having 8 yrs exp in GE medical as a sales manager having interest to start up own.
Currently i am in Switzerland, Basel and my contact no: 41767283160
and i am currently working as Programmer analyst with IT company. We will discuss in details, if you feel feasible then only we will go ahead. But want what kind of service you provide to the hospitals or rural areas.
Meet you in future.
Regards,
Ramesh Jakkula
I'd be very interested in discussing this concept further. I know of one company in India in which I am friends and was a MBA classmate with the principle of this start up business. I literally spoke with him as recently as yesterday. From what I know about India is you need a concept that creates sustainable value (which telemedicine will provide although there are many applications which we can discuss) at the same time you need to have contacts/networks (like anyplace else) of local business and government people that are supportive of the concept. I'd be happy to speak with you as I believe there is tremendous opportunity.
I can be usually be reached at 734-846-5395 most days after 2:30 PM EST. When and how would be the best way to contact you? Where are you located at the present time.
